Temporary files.
One of that’s because temporary files using by windows operation system and windows applications. Low Disk Effect to Windows Performance.
Nowadays, disk space is bigger and cheaper than 5 years ago. Sometimes make we are lazy to clean up our disk from un-used files. But anyway every disk still has capacity and can full! Low Disk space can effect to overall windows performance, because nowadays application running need more memory and more greedy every new versions. Memories computer are more limited compare to disk, there is why Windows Operations system used disk to accommodate. Disable Windows Notification for Low Disk Space
By default windows operation system has automatically alert users when disk space reaches some threshold. If you ever getting the alert you will know the message like the balloon with the message about low disk space, when you clicked, the clean up wizards will be lunch.

When free disk space reaches 200 megabytes (MB), you receive the following message for 10 seconds, once per session:
You are running out of disk space on [drive]. To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here.
When free disk space reaches 80 MB, you receive the following message for 30 seconds, every four hours, twice per session:
You are running very low on disk space on [drive]. To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here.
When free disk reaches 50 MB, you receive the following message for 30 seconds, every five minutes, until free space is above 50 MB:
You are running very low on disk space on [drive]. To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here.
To disable the alert you can modify windows registry using regedit.exe
- Simply navigate to KEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
- right click on the Explorer and click new DWORD(32-bit) value
- type NoLowDiskSpaceChecks
- modify the value to 1
